This is a special place, not your run of the mill “Karate” studio.Posted onTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. the first thing you need to know is: Sensei Joe is PHENOMENAL with kids. he just has a way of connecting with them that is so wholesome and respectful of them as small humans, not just as children. even when he corrects them if they're misbehaving, it's done firmly but with respect. his daughter is also great with them, and they're both very easy to talk to. my son has been going for a few months now and the change I've seen in him is incredible. this is the best thing we've done for him in regards to helping him with impulse control and self discipline. From the very first class my son visited over a year ago, it was clear that Shihan Joe has a gift for instructing children. With core class values of Confidence, Respect, and Discipline, he makes sure every student feels heard and respected, as do the other instructors. My son has progressed through a few belt levels since then and continues to enjoy his experience at Prime. He is setting a goal for black belt, and has already used the skills he's learned so far to address a bullying and boundary setting issue at his school. Besides the skills building and positive mindset, I really like that the classes are a true physical workout for him (which is exactly what an active 10 year old boy needs!). Joining Prime Martial Arts is one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Even though I'm not the typical Martial Arts student at my age I was welcomed with open arms from day one by everyone. I've been treated with nothing but respect and kindness. I've gained confidence and strength and absolutely LOVE every class I attend. My daughter has been training at this great training facility for about 3 years and she loves it. The coaches are fantastic and foster a positive attitude in the students. My daughters goal is a black belt and beyond and I cannot think of a better place for her to achieve this goal and receive leadership training.
